Construction Inspector

Full-TimeNYC Metro

On-site oversight of construction activities — verifying contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and NYC building code. Active projects across transit, residential, and commercial scopes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Review drawings and specifications to verify contractor compliance
  • Conduct on-site observation, inspection, and evaluation of construction activities
  • Prepare daily reports, verify materials, and track project documentation
  • Verify work per approved submittals and observe contractor safety compliance

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Minimum 5 years field inspection experience
  • Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Familiarity with civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical work

Masonry Field Inspector

Full-TimeNYC Metro

Perform on-site masonry inspections across NYC construction projects — grout and mortar sampling, reinforcement verification, and anchor bolt observations. Facade and restoration experience a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform masonry inspections including grout sampling and reinforcement verification
  • Draft detailed field reports for submission to project managers
  • Assist with façade reviews, restoration projects, and specialty assignments
  • Provide support to senior inspectors and supervisors as needed

WHAT YOU NEED

  • ICC Structural Masonry certification required
  • OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification required
  • Ability to read drawings and apply design specifications
  • Familiarity with NYC and NYS building codes

Special Inspector

Full-TimeNYC Metro

Perform code-compliant special inspections under NYC Building Code Chapter 17 — structural, concrete, masonry, and steel. Work directly with contractors, engineers of record, and DOB on active NYC projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform inspections per NYC Building Code Chapter 17
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports and communicate with clients
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams throughout all phases
  • Identify and document deficiencies with clear corrective recommendations

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Valid certifications required: AWS-CWI, ACI-CCSI, or ICC-CSI
  • Experience in NYC construction inspection preferred
  • OSHA training and familiarity with safety standards
  • Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail

ICC Mechanical Special Inspector

Full-TimeNYC Metro

Inspect mechanical systems across NYC construction projects — verifying proper installation, functionality, and code compliance. Prepare detailed reports and communicate deficiencies clearly to project teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct field inspections of mechanical systems for proper installation and function
  • Verify compliance with building codes, standards, and approved construction documents
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate deficiencies
  • Coordinate with contractors and design professionals throughout construction

WHAT YOU NEED

  • ICC Commercial or Residential Mechanical Inspector Certification (M2) required
  • Proven experience inspecting mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of relevant building codes and mechanical standards
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

AWS Welding Inspector

Perform welding inspections per AWS D1.1 code standards on NYC structural projects — reviewing drawings, preparing field reports, and coordinating with project teams and fabrication facilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform welding inspections per AWS D1.1 code standards
  • Prepare detailed daily field reports and communicate deficiencies to project managers
  • Review and interpret project drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with design professionals and project teams across all construction phases

WHAT YOU NEED

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
  • ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification a plus — we offer reimbursement support
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Experience working with fabrication facilities and project teams
